Maz and Shoji head up to Alaska to perform at the Cama-i Dance Festival 2003 with Shasta Taiko.

Bryan goes to New York to meet with video/multi-media artist Brian Nishii and stage manager Gary San Angel about upcoming plans for the TAIKOPROJECT World Premiere tour. Also, to visit Soh Daiko and talk about Sesame Street.
Bryan gives an introductory taiko workshop at Loyola Marymount University as part of their APA Heritage Festival.
The fresh tracks 03 series at the JACCC closes with a standing room-only crowd and a fantastic set, featuring performances by Sri Susilowati, Jason Fong's improvisational theatre company "Flight, singer/songwriter Kevin So, and hip hop septet Ill Again. The zine gallery also scores big with featured artists such as Raina Lee, John Pham, and Martin Cendreda.
Bryan guest hosts Asiatic Rhythms on KPFK Radio Pacifica 90.7 fm, with special guest artists Mai Piece, singer/songwriter Kevin So, and local zine artists Julie Kim, Andrew & Steven Soria, and Michelle "the other Eminem" Magalong.
Bryan and Yuta, along with special guest George "Moonman" Abe, perform for the opening kick-off celebration for Loyola Marymount University's Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival.
The Winter session of the TAIKOPROJECT Kids and All Ages I classes finished this week! Congratulations to the continuing kids (a dozen fantastic taiko kids aged 8 - 12), and the 8 new adult taiko players who have successfully finished the initial program! On-going taiko classes for beginners and advanced players will start in April on a regular basis at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple.

Michelle goes on tour with San Jose Taiko for their spring, 2003 performances through Alabama, Pennsylvania, and Missouri.
Bryan begins a 4-week workshop program with the Music Center Education Division in Teacher - Artist Training along with other veteran performers from L.A.-based arts organizations such as We Tell Stories, Will & Company, and Musica Angelica.
On Saturday morning, Bryan performs the "Shi Shi Mai," lion's dance, with George Abe and Johnny Mori live in studio for KNBC's "Today in L.A." and again with Kinnara Taiko on Sunday as part of the JACCC's Kotohajime celebration.
