08.04.08 The OC Fair is done! Thank you to Dan Gaines and everyone at the Fair for bringing us out to perform this year! We had a great time and thank you for all your work! Up next....TP has a free small performance at the Japanese American National Museum and then a big free performance with the Masanga Marimba Ensemble at the Levitt Pavilion in Macarthur Park at the end of August!

07.27.08 One of our performers, Aya Ino is heading to Japan to participate in the JET Educational program for a year! Good luck Aya and thanks for all the work and energy you have put into making TP what it is today!
07.21.08 We are in full swing in the middle of our 19-day performance run at the Orange County Fair! Yuri has even started a list of all the various foods we've been eating at the fair every day! Check out local photographer Jon Haverstick's photos from the performances, and if you're around Costa Mesa, come on by! Or, this weekend, you can also find us at the Higashi Honganji Obon Festival!
07.15.08 Rhythmic Relations 2008 is over! Check out the RR08 Site for links to photos, reviews, and more! Today, we start our run at the Orange County Fair, so if you're in town, come on down! We are performing on the Plaza Arts Stage nightly at 6:15 and 8:15 pm!
07.11.08 Tomorrow is Rhythmic Relations 2008!! Check out the TAIKOPROJECT Article from Nikkan San (if you can read Japanese), and check out Jason and Tomomi on Orange County tv news programs promoting the opening of TP's run at the OC Fair! Tanaka-sensei and SF Taiko Dojo arrive in a few hours and then we rehearse for tomorrow's gigantic show...hope to see you there!!!
07.10.08 Rhythmic Relations 2008 is coming up in two days!! Today Maz and Bryan were interviewed on KPFK 90.7's "Global Village" with John Schneider and there are interviews coming out in Nikkan San and the Rafu Shimpo. This morning, TP was also on Primera Edicion on Univision 34, and tomorrow you can catch TP on several morning news programs in Orange County, promoting the OC Fair, which opens Friday! There's still just a few more tickets left for Saturday night's show, and tickets are still available for Sunday's show! Hope to see you there!
07.03.08 Rhythmic Relations 2008 is coming up next weekend, July 12 & 13!!! Got your tickets yet? Get your tickets now before the shows sell out and join us for a fantastic night of taiko underneath the stars at the beautiful John Anson Ford Amphitheatre! Saturday night's show is almost sold out, and there are still good seats available for Sunday's show. We guarantee you this will be a once-in-a-lifetime show, with TAIKOPROJECT and the first American taiko group, San Francisco Taiko Dojo, sharing the stage for the first time together! Don't miss it!
06.28.08 Our Hawaii Tour has come to an end! What an amazing trip--first, a fantastic show with Zenshin Daiko in Kahului, Maui, then two sold-out shows with Hilo Taishoji Taiko at the UH Hilo Performing Arts Center, and then a sold-out show at the beautiful Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu with the Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble! Thank you to all of the wonderful people who made this tour happen, to name just a few--Tony and Val Jones, the Cua Family, Jan Higashi, the Japanese Community Association of Hawaii, Kenny & Chizuko Endo, Eric Chang, Aunty Gayle, Yuta Kato--who helped out greatly for our Honolulu and Maui shows, and Bryan's parents, who hosted all nine performers for four days in Hilo! Stay tuned for a full list of thank yous from our first-ever Hawaii Tour, as well as photos, and videos from each show, such as "Omiyage" collaborations with Kenny Endo and Zenshin Daiko, and encore collaboration with Hilo Taishoji Taiko!

06.15.08 Getting ready for our first-ever Hawaii Tour! We leave Thursday for a three-island tour, performing with Zenshin Daiko in Maui, Taishoji Taiko in Hilo, and the Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble in Honolulu! If you know anyone in Hawaii, let 'em know!

05.13.08 Just saw "RedBelt"! We're actually in quite a bit of the final scene, so check it out! This weekend you can also catch Kitsune Taiko at the Nikkei Community Day in Little Tokyo at 12:30 pm, and TAIKOPROJECT at the Southern California Percussion Festival at the Nechita Center in Orange at 7:30 pm, both on Saturday. Also, don't forget to check out Kanye West's concert production "Glow in the Dark," which is touring nationally this Spring and features TAIKOPROJECT on several of his big hits such as "Stronger," "Gold Digger," and "Touch the Sky." And finally, if you want to check out the latest incarnation of our "(re)generation" production, get your tickets now for our debut performance at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Bing Theater on June 12, at 8 pm!
05.02.08 The movie "RedBelt," directed by David Mamet comes out today in LA and New York! We shot a scene for the movie last summer in Long Beach. Did we make it into the final cut? We don't know, we gotta go see it and see for ourselves. But if you go see it, let us know!
